September Wood by Paul Wright

About the Book

Paul Wright's September Wood is a love letter to his past. Drawn from his life experience and people he encountered along the way, the story introduces us to the odd characters of a small village as they navigate the mysteries of a universe actively talking to them.

And Paul's life has been something to write and draw about. As one of the world's premier marine artists, Paul is the son of one of the United Kingdom's most celebrated pin-up artists and serial storytellers, David Wright, creator of Carol Day, who himself came from an artistic family that stood at the forefront of consumer advertising in the early 20th century.

In September Wood, black-and-white drawings are the visual backdrop for Wright's tale. He presents the drawings in a unique format intended to gently pace us through the complex and delicate story he shares. It's a beautifully composed and rendered window into his boyhood.
