Face Value
Episodes: #699–777

Face Value is an important story, in which Carol confronts her ambivalent feelings toward Charles Logan and articulates the importance of her career. The love triangle of Carol, Angela and Charles provides a strong storyline, and it also provides Wright the opportunity for beautiful art in the contrast of the blonde Carol and the brunette Angela.

This story is scanned from second generation photocopies of David Wright's tearsheet scrapbooks, enhanced in Photoshop for readability. Hence the presentation is not all that we would wish. However, the scans are very readable, and we hope that you'll agree that having the story in any form is better than nothing.

A huge debt of gratitude goes to Jim Ottaviani for making the trip to Michigan State University, making copies of their copy of David Wright's notebooks, and experimenting in Photoshop to optimize the quality of the resulting scans. His efforts made the presentation of this story possible.
